Life Park Istanbul Concert Guide: What to Know Before Going
Life Park is one of Istanbul’s popular concert venues, located about 15 miles (24 kilometers) outside the city. It’s located in Bahçeköy, a beautiful wooded area, which you can make a separate day trip just to explore the hiking trails.
The open-air venue makes for a great concert space and experience, but getting there can be a bit tricky, especially if you don’t have a car and don’t want to worry about catching potentially expensive taxis. And that’s why I made this Life Park Istanbul concert guide so you know what to expect.
Some popular artists come to Life Park, such as Avenged Sevenfold, the Offspring, and Tom Odell. If you’re planning to attend a concert at Life Park in Istanbul, especially for popular artists who might draw huge crowds, it’s best to be prepared in advance to know what to expect.

What Inspired My Life Park Istanbul Concert Guide
One day in Istanbul, I was walking around Nişantaşı when I saw it: a BABYMETAL concert poster. Excited, I immediately translated the date on the poster and, seeing it was in July (it had been June when I saw it), I knew I had to go.
I’ve wanted to see Baby Metal for at least 10 years, and this was my chance.
I bought my ticket (about 3,300 lira, or $70 USD at the time) and started planning. I had no idea how I’d get there, as the venue was far away. There weren’t many other Life Park Istanbul concert guide options to read either.
I was a bit worried I’d get stranded after reading some reviews from other concerts there, and that I needed to use a payment app.
And while it was a bit stressful, it all worked out in the end, so here’s my personal experience at Life Park in Istanbul, how to get there, what to expect, and more.

What to Expect at Life Park in Istanbul
Here are the main details from my experience to give context for my Life Park Istanbul concert guide, as your experience might be quite different depending on the concert size and day.
The concert I went to: BABYMETAL
Date: Wednesday, July 31st, 2026.
Number of concertgoers: Estimated 10,000 in attendance. During the concert, the front-stage audience had decent space, and even the general admission section, while crowded, was not entirely filled.
Buying Event Tickets for Life Park Concerts and Festivals
There are a few official outlets for buying tickets to Life Park events in Istanbul.
I bought my BABYMETAL tickets through Biletenial, which accepted my US credit card no problem. Biletix is another official ticket provider in Türkiye that is owned by TicketMaster.
If you want to be absolutely certain you’re buying through a legitimate site, you can even find concerts and festivals in the Life Park app, and buy through there. And we’ll actually cover the app next because you’ll need it at the venue regardless.
Life Park App (for Payments & Buying Tickets)
If there’s anything you must take from this Life Park Istanbul concert guide, it’s that you’ll need to download the Life Park official app. The Life Park app is available on both iPhone and Android.
You can buy concert tickets on there, check event information, and most importantly, top up your digital wallet.
Life Park in Istanbul uses a digital wallet for any purchases at the venue.
I suggest that you top up your wallet before going to ensure your credit card works with it. I added 150 lira, which would be enough for a couple of waters.
You can save your card information in the app, so you can top up at the venue. But do be mindful that the data connection is not very strong.
The Life Park Shuttle
I’ll get into exactly how to reach Life Park in Istanbul by public transit soon, but first, let’s cover the shuttles. From Haciosman Station, shuttles across the street go to Life Park in Istanbul.
These shuttles run specifically for concerts and festivals, and service usually starts when the venue opens prior to the concert.
For the BABYMETAL concert, the venue opened at 5 PM (the opener was on at 7 PM).
How to Catch the Life Park Shuttle
I arrived at the metro station around 5:30 PM, and as soon as I exited, men were guiding people to the shuttles so it was almost too easy.
You can technically take the local bus (42HM) to the venue, but I chose the shuttle because it was easy and straightforward.
Paying for the Life Park Shuttle
The shuttle accepts cash and credit cards. They charged people for the shuttle on arrival at Life Park, so if they don’t ask or mention it when you get on at the metro station, just expect them to ask when you arrive. I know it’s a bit cheeky, especially if you get on the shuttle and they don’t even mention it, but it is how it is.
At the time (July 2026), the one-way tickets cost 150 lira (180 with card) (~$3-4) and the return ticket was 250 lira cash (300 lira on card) or about $5/6 USD.
They are a separate service from Life Park’s payment app, so bring cash and/or a credit card!
Returning on the Life Park Shuttle (IMPORTANT!)
One of the biggest complaints in reviews about Life Park was the shuttle service returning to Haciosman Station.
When the concert ends, people start flocking and lining up for the shuttles. While the parking lot is full of about 20 shuttles, the line for them can be super long, and you have to wait for them to complete the full round trip.
The biggest problem can occur during huge concerts or weekend events.
For BABYMETAL, I was probably one of the first 100-200 people to the shuttles. I was on one of the shuttles within about 15 minutes after the concert ended.
For larger concerts, you’ll want to be at the shuttles earlier rather than later, as the line can get crazy long, and if traffic catches up, you will be waiting not just for shuttles to return, but might get stuck heading back.
Pro tip: Take the shuttles to return early to avoid long waits and potential traffic jams. When you buy your return ticket, keep the little slip they give you.
Security & ID Checks
When I arrived at the venue, the line to get in wasn’t long. I arrived about 6 PM, 3 hours before BABYMETAL was supposed to go on.
Be sure to have your virtual ticket available, and then you’ll go through security.
For ID checks, I wasn’t asked for any ID, even though I brought my passport. It always depends on who is working, I suppose, so I would at least bring a State ID or driver’s license as a backup to avoid risking your passport.
Technically, you should have your passport on you in Turkey at all times, but I do wish I had left it behind, since they didn’t check any of my ID at all. This one’s up to you.
As for security, you aren’t allowed to bring in most items prohibited at concert venues.
I had to throw out my plastic water bottle, and even my mints! I also had Tylenol in a clear blue case (so long labeled) and had to throw the pills out, which is fine enough! Read the guidelines before coming, as security adhered quite strictly to them when going through my bag.
Food Options at Life Park in Istanbul
Before I went to Life Park, I had no idea they had a whole picnic area. To be honest, the information online isn’t very clear, hence why I made this Life Park Istanbul concert guide.
So, for your information, there should be plenty of food options at any concert or festival at Life Park. I sat with a local girl who said she had come to Life Park a few times and that the food vendors were always there during big events.
The food trucks had all sorts of goodies like burgers, waffles, coffee, pasta, and more. So if you come hungry, don’t worry; there are plenty of options to choose from. The prices are high in Turkey, but I found them similar to what you might pay at restaurants in touristy areas of the city.
The picnic tables are also nice cause you can have somewhere to sit and hang out before the show — you don’t have to buy anything to use them.
And they’re shaded quite well by the trees, which was ideal for a summer concert day.
Drink Stations
Life Park has a few bars stationed around the venue. One in the main entrance, and 2-3 (I can’t totally remember) in the concert space. And if you get VIP tickets, you have your own dedicated bar at the side of the stage.

Bathrooms at Life Park
When I said I was making a Life Park guide for Istanbul, I meant it. There are probably some toilets I missed, but in the picnic area, there is a section with bathrooms.
They were quite nice (at least when I went), well stocked with toilet paper, and maintained during the concert. And they’re actually bathrooms, not just porta-potties, an absolute win!
How to Get to Life Park in Istanbul

By Public Transit + Shuttle
This is the route I took to get to Life Park in Istanbul. If you follow the steps in my Life Park Istanbul concert guide below, you should get there easily.
Step 1: Metro and Bus to Haciosman
Haciosman Metro is North of the city in Istanbul on the M2 Line. I took the M2 metro line from Taksim Station directly to here in about 20 minutes.
Because this is where the shuttles start to head to Life Park, you’ll need to get here.
Step 2: Shuttle (or public bus) to Venue
Next, as I wrote about earlier in my Istanbul Life Park Guide, you’ll need to catch the shuttle to Life Park.
As many people will likely be getting off the metro for the event and the shuttle managers are just outside, you’ll likely be guided right to them.
If not, remember the photo of the ATMs above (across the street from the station exit). The shuttles were parked right in front of these ATMs.
By Car
Now, if you drive (or a friend drives), it’s pretty quick to get to Life Park by car. You could even make a full day trip and hang out in the forest and hike beforehand.
The venue has a parking lot, and they charge for it, though I’m not sure exactly how much.
To be honest, it may be easier to take the shuttle, as when you leave the venue, it can get very busy with others leaving who drove as well.
FAQs About Going to Concerts & Festivals in Life Park in Istanbul
While my Life Park Istanbul concert guide covered the main things to know about going, here are a couple of questions you may still have, answered.
How Late Does the Istanbul Metro Run?
The Istanbul Metro on weekends (including the M2 line and others) runs every 30 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights. So if you’re there for a weekend concert, you’re in luck even if it takes you a long time to catch the shuttle back.
I saw BABYMETAL on a Wednesday, and while the metro wasn’t running all night, the M2 actually had extended an extra hour that night because of the concert. So instead of closing at about midnight, it would be open until 1 AM.
The concert lasted until about 10:45 PM, and I was on the metro by about 11:30 PM.
If you attend a weekday concert, check for any official updates if you’re worried about getting stranded. Worst case, you may have to catch a taxi back from Haciosman.
Does the Life Park App accept foreign credit cards?
Yes, I paid with a Visa Capital One credit card to top up the Life Park app. Definitely add a small amount (maybe 150 lira) before heading to Life Park to be sure it works.
Does Life Park in Istanbul sell alcohol?
Yes! A selection of beers and cocktails is available at the venue.
How is the view of the stage from the VIP section at Life Park?
The VIP section at Life Park in Istanbul is on the right side of the stage in the front. It’s raised about 7 meters, so there’s no need to worry about people blocking your view from the ground.
With that said, the view is not very straight-on, and you’d want to stand all the way at the back corner of the platform for the most “straight-on” view of the concert.
